I just thought of something. 

If they’ve set up Arcee and Cliffjumper as an example of how Autobots grieve (“they feel sad”) and silently contrast them with Knock Out and Breakdown as an example of how Decepticons grieve (“they don’t”)…

And it’s all just one more ham-handed example of how Autobots are Always Good Guys and Decepticons are Very Bad Guys…

Knockout has mentioned Breakdown’s death several times, almost once per episode. Nobody else has referenced it. The fact that he keeps drawing attention to it could be seen as a form of denial, one of the five stages of grief. Arcee has at time shown Anger, depression, and most recently, acceptance. The Autobots don’t grieve more, they simply grieve in a healthier style.
